In the late summer of 2016, the life of 23-year-old Charles Christopher Moody Jr., a Black male from Columbus, Mississippi, was tragically cut short. On the evening of September 19th, Moody was found on 15th Avenue South, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Despite the immediate response from law enforcement and medical personnel, his injuries proved fatal, and the Lowndes County Coroner pronounced him dead at the scene.
