On December 29, 2023, 19-year-old Marcus Leshaun Lowe Jr. was fatally shot in Columbia, Mississippi. The Columbia Police Department responded to a call at 215 McDaniel Street Extension at 8:38 p.m., where they found Lowe Jr. with a gunshot wound to the torso. He was transported to Marion General Hospital and pronounced dead shortly after.
