Patrolman Wayne Grant Henebry, aged 36, tragically lost his life on May 8, 1989, in Columbia, Mississippi. Henebry, who served with the Columbia Police Department for five years, was killed in the line of duty. The incident occurred when Patrolman Billy Patterson made a traffic stop on Main Street in front of the Marion County Courthouse.
