In the late hours of a Sunday evening in Canton, Mississippi, a sense of unease settled over Ricks Drive. Gunshots shattered the night, prompting a call to the Canton Police Department at approximately 11:00 p.m. When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered a man who had sustained a gunshot wound. The victim was identified as 28-year-old Temikal Perry, a male resident of the community.
