Demario Marquel Anderson, a 22-year-old from Canton, Mississippi, tragically lost his life on October 9, 2014. The circumstances surrounding his death were deeply troubling and led to significant legal proceedings. Anderson was shot and killed during a family reunion at the Anderson Masonic Lodge in Canton. The incident occurred on June 25, 2023, when George Alton Smith, 32, entered the event hall and began firing indiscriminately at the attendees.
