In the early hours of a Saturday morning in Canton, Mississippi, a familiar gathering spot on Hickory Street turned into a scene of violence and tragedy. On June 22, 2024, a dispute escalated, leading to gunfire that would ultimately claim the life of 20-year-old Jontravious Warren. The shooting, which erupted around 12:45 a.m., also resulted in injuries to five other individuals, sending shockwaves through the local community.
