In what should have been a joyous gathering, a family reunion in Canton, Mississippi, turned into a scene of unimaginable horror on June 25, 2023. On that day, 33-year-old Jordan Maurice Deere, a Black/African American male, was tragically killed in a mass shooting at the Anderson Masonic Lodge.
