On September 28, 2024, Marquez Kentrell "MJ" Carter Jr., a 16-year-old resident of Columbus, Mississippi, tragically lost his life in a fatal shooting incident. The event occurred shortly after 3:00 p.m. in the 200 block of Constance Lane, where police responded to reports of gunshots.
