In the quiet early morning hours in Greenwood, Mississippi, a devastating act of violence tragically cut short the life of 11-month-old Amarus Holland. On October 10, 2024, while sleeping in his home at 1008 Charlie Cooley Avenue, Amarus and his 34-year-old mother, Angela Holland, were fatally shot. The shots are believed to have been fired through their bedroom window. Both mother and son were pronounced dead at 3:41 a.m.
