On the evening of March 29, 2025, a tragic incident occurred in Greenwood, Mississippi, resulting in the death of 3-year-old Keldrick Duncan, an African American male. According to Leflore County Coroner Debra Sanders, the child was at home with his mother on the 700 block of East Martin Luther King Jr. Drive when he gained access to a firearm and accidentally shot himself. He was pronounced dead at 8:43 p.m. at Greenwood Leflore Hospital, having suffered a single gunshot wound.
