Joseph Melton, a 22-year-old male, tragically lost his life on the evening of April 23, 2019, in a shooting that occurred at a residence in the Sangaree community of Summerville, South Carolina. The Berkeley County Coroner's Office confirmed that Melton died from a single gunshot wound. The incident, which took place at a home on Conestee Road, prompted an immediate investigation by the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office.
