In the late summer of 2023, the life of 24-year-old Destiny Villas, a mother of two with a third child on the way, was tragically cut short in what Muskegon, Michigan, police have described as a targeted attack. On Monday, August 28, 2023, Villas was found shot in the 600 block of Catherine Avenue. The news of her violent death sent ripples of grief and shock through her community and family.
