Allen Wayne Fields, a 53-year-old man from Lumberton, NC, was tragically found dead on December 3, 2018, in an abandoned house on Gardenia Drive. Fields, who was homeless, was shot during a burglary. The investigation revealed that Levander Thompson, 51, and Samantha Meszaros, 30, both of Lumberton, were involved in the incident. Thompson was charged with first-degree murder and first-degree burglary, while Meszaros faced charges of first-degree burglary.
