On March 24, 2024, 25-year-old Chase Daniel Perkins was fatally shot at a friend's residence in the Thunderbird Village trailer park, located in Springfield, Michigan, near Battle Creek. Deputies from the Calhoun County Sheriff's Office responded to reports of a shooting around 10:50 p.m. Upon arrival, they found Perkins with a single gunshot wound.
