In the summer of 2024, a tragedy unfolded in the north end of Kalamazoo, Michigan, forever altering the lives of one family. Charles Lee Weir, a 30-year-old man known affectionately as 'Chuck' to his friends and family, was fatally shot on July 24th at the Fox Ridge Apartments. The incident occurred in the early evening, around 6 p.m., in what was described as a crowded area of the apartment complex.
