On July 24, 2024, 30-year-old Charles "Chuck" Lee Weir was fatally shot at the Fox Ridge Apartments in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The incident occurred around 6 p.m. on Fox Ridge Drive near Alamo Avenue, where officers from the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety (KDPS) found Weir suffering from a gunshot wound. He was immediately provided medical attention and transported to a hospital, but he later succumbed to his injuries.
