In the spring of 1984, what began as a simple act of kindness cost a man his life, leaving a community to grapple with a senseless act of violence. On April 15th of that year, Robert Baranski, a 36-year-old male, offered a ride to an acquaintance, Richard Clarey. This chance encounter would prove to be fatal for Baranski.
