On May 13, 2023, at approximately 11:50 am, officers responded to a shooting in the 6100 block of Blacksmith Drive in the unincorporated section of District Heights, Maryland. Dante Williams, a 28-year-old resident of District Heights, was found outside a home suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a hospital where he died shortly after.
