On September 8, 2024, a tragic incident occurred at a laundromat in the 4700 block of Kenilworth Avenue in Edmonston, Maryland, resulting in the death of 18-year-old Anibal Suazo from Lothian, Maryland. The shooting took place around 6 p.m., when two suspects, Alex Delgado, 20, of Silver Spring, and a 17-year-old boy from New Carrollton, allegedly targeted Suazo inside the laundromat.
