On March 19, 2022, Delonte Hicks, a 29-year-old male tow truck driver from Washington, D.C., was fatally shot in a road rage incident in Prince George's County, Maryland. The tragic event unfolded at approximately 4:45 p.m. as Hicks was driving his tow truck eastbound on Route 50 at Veterans Parkway. An altercation is believed to have occurred between Hicks and the driver of another vehicle.
