On January 22, 2023, 18-year-old Isaiah Lorenzo Martinez was found deceased in a parking lot on Pacific Court in Kannapolis, North Carolina. Responding to a 911 call around 1:15 p.m., Kannapolis Police officers discovered Martinez had suffered fatal gunshot wounds.
In the ensuing investigation, authorities identified two juvenile suspects, aged 14 and 16, believed to be involved in Martinez's death. On February 7, 2023, both were taken into custody and charged with his murder. Reports
