On March 28, 2024, at approximately 10:25 p.m., Prince George's County Police officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 6500 block of Ager Road in Hyattsville, Maryland. Upon arrival, they discovered 33-year-old Cesar Benitez of Chantilly, Virginia, outside, suffering from a gunshot wound. Tragically, Benitez was pronounced dead at the scene.
