In the early evening of June 16, 2021, the life of 35-year-old Dapo Ojo of Hyattsville, Maryland, was tragically cut short. An off-duty police officer, driving in the 3300 block of 75th Avenue in Landover, discovered Ojo lying in the roadway around 5:10 p.m. He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Prince George's County Police Department's Homicide Unit promptly launched an investigation into the fatal shooting.
Despite their efforts, a suspect or suspects have not been identified in connection with Ojo's death. The motive behind the shooting remains unclear to investigators.
