On October 24, 2024, at approximately 6:40 a.m., a tragic incident occurred in Riverdale, Maryland, resulting in the death of 38-year-old Jeiver Pozuelos Cervantes from Hyattsville. A citizen alerted patrol officers to an unresponsive man lying on the side of the road near Veterans Parkway and Riverdale Road. Upon investigation, authorities discovered Cervantes with gunshot wounds, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
