On May 28, 2023, 47-year-old Tavaris J. Thomas was fatally shot near the intersection of North 37th and West Townsend Streets in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The incident occurred around 12:15 a.m. during an argument that escalated into gunfire, resulting in the deaths of both Thomas and 43-year-old Erick Edwards.
