In the evening hours of Thursday, July 25, 2024, a burst of gunfire shattered the quiet near the intersection of 39th Street and Florist Avenue in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. When the sound of the shots faded, a 47-year-old male, Michael P. Davis, was left with fatal injuries. The incident, which unfolded around 7:41 p.m., also resulted in another individual, a 49-year-old, being wounded, though their injuries were not considered life-threatening.
