On July 13, 2023, 20-year-old Devon Daniel Grant was fatally shot near the intersection of Milwaukee Street and Milky Way on Madison's east side. Responding officers found Grant with life-threatening injuries; he was transported to a hospital where he later succumbed to his wounds.
