In the summer of 2020, the life of Maurice Rashawn Bow Jr., a 24-year-old Black man from Madison, Wisconsin, was tragically cut short. On the evening of July 25th, violence erupted on Madison's west side, and Bow fell victim to a fatal shooting. The Dane County Medical Examiner's Office later confirmed that his death was a homicide, a result of the firearm injuries he sustained.
