In the spring of 2023, a violent altercation at a south Oklahoma City bar claimed the life of 29-year-old Eric Oberholtzer. On the evening of Saturday, April 1st, police were called to the Whiskey Barrel Saloon following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered a chaotic scene with multiple gunshot victims. Oberholtzer, along with two other men, Francisco Tanajara, 38, and Andrew Sump, 28, were pronounced dead at the scene.
