Laron T.G. Moore, a 38-year-old Black man from Oklahoma City, grew up in the same city where his life would eventually be cut short. He was born on February 21, 1977, in Oklahoma City to Bea E. Barnett and Roy J. Moore, and was known to family and friends by the nickname “Doughboy.” As he grew older, he stayed rooted in his community, attending both U.S. Grant High School and Douglas High School and remaining a resident of Oklahoma City into adulthood.
