In the spring of 2025, a young Black man, 21-year-old Malik Jashun Wilson, lost his life in a fatal shooting in Oklahoma City. The incident, which marked the city's 17th homicide of the year, unfolded on the evening of April 2nd at an apartment complex near Northwest 16th Street and North Classen Boulevard.
