In the spring of 2017, a burst of violence cut short the life of 27-year-old Jerome Garrett, a male resident of Oklahoma City. On the evening of Wednesday, May 17, 2017, gunshots echoed through a southwest Oklahoma City apartment complex, leaving Garrett fatally wounded. The incident prompted an immediate response from the Oklahoma City Police Department, who arrived to find a scene of turmoil and loss.
