On June 30, 2012, Tracy Shane Williams Jr., aged 30, was shot and killed while visiting his cousin at the Sooner Haven Apartments in northeast Oklahoma City. The incident took place late in the evening, and Williams was discovered with gunshot wounds behind the apartment building. He was rushed to the OU Medical Center but succumbed to his injuries shortly afterward.
