In the quiet, early morning hours of Sunday, April 3, 2022, a grim discovery shattered the peace in the 2100 block of North Everest Avenue in Oklahoma City. A call was made to police to check on a person lying in the roadway. Upon their arrival at approximately 6:54 a.m., officers found a man who was unresponsive. The man, identified as Isaiah Williams, a 30-year-old Black male, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Investigators quickly determined that Williams’s death was not accident ...
