In the fading light of a Wednesday evening in Oklahoma City, tragedy befell Anthony L. Hooks. On November 3, 2021, the 52-year-old Black male was fatally shot in front of a residence at 1001 W. Eubanks St. The sharp crack of gunfire pierced the evening calm, and when police officers arrived on the scene, they discovered Mr. Hooks in the front yard, having succumbed to his gunshot wounds.
