In the late hours of a Friday night in Oklahoma City, the sound of gunshots shattered the residential calm, leading to the tragic death of 40-year-old Andre Neal. On October 14, 2023, police were dispatched to a home at 1917 NW 36th St. around 10 p.m. following reports of gunfire.
Upon their arrival, officers discovered a grim scene in the backyard of the residence. Two men had been struck by gunfire.
One of the victims, Charles Ingram, a 48-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other victim, Andre Neal, was found with life-threatening injuries. He was rushed to a local hospital, but tragically, he later succumbed to his wounds and was pronounced dead.
The Oklahoma City Police Department launched a double homicide investigation into the deaths of Neal and Ingram. Detectives began the arduous process of piecing together the events that led to the fatal shooting. At the time of the initial reports, no arrests had been made in connection with the double homicide, and law enforcement had not publicly identified any suspects.
