In Oklahoma City, on the late evening of May 11, 2023, a gathering took a tragic turn, resulting in the death of 19-year-old Keithon Wilson, a Black male. The event, held in the 2600 block of South Meridian Avenue, became the scene of a violent altercation that escalated to gunfire shortly after 11:00 PM.
When police arrived, they discovered a chaotic scene with three individuals having been shot. Keithon Wilson and another 19-year-old, Zion Debusk, were found deceased at the scene, both having sustained fatal gunshot wounds. A third victim, 22-year-old Shy-Anne Stallings, was also found with gunshot wounds. She was transported to a local hospital in critical condition but was expected to survive her injuries.
