In a tragic turn of events on a Tuesday afternoon in Oklahoma City, a dispute between two men escalated into a fatal shooting. Edwin Jelinek, a 44-year-old White male, was shot outside a residence in the 2500 block of SW 45th Street on June 24, 2025. Police were dispatched to the scene around 3:15 p.m. where they discovered Jelinek suffering from a gunshot wound. He was quickly transported to a local hospital for medical attention but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.
