On the evening of Wednesday, January 26, 2022, 43-year-old Dewon Thomas, a Black male, was found shot inside a residence in the 3100 block of North Dawson Avenue, near Northwest 30th Street and Portland Avenue. Responding to a call, police officers discovered Thomas, who had sustained a fatal gunshot wound.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
