In the summer of 2023, a violent altercation in a Tulsa, Oklahoma neighborhood tragically cut short the life of 25-year-old Mykai DaSharius Daniels. The Black / African American man was fatally wounded in a shooting that also left his three brothers injured on June 14, 2023. The incident unfolded near South Louisville Avenue and East 27th Place, where an argument escalated into gunfire.
