In the evening hours of Monday, April 29, 2024, a burst of gunfire shattered the peace at the Midtown Park Apartments in Tulsa, Oklahoma, leaving a community in shock and a family mourning the loss of a young life. Sixteen-year-old Valin James Bell, a male, was tragically killed in what police described as a 'gun battle' that erupted in the parking lot of the complex, located near 21st and Memorial. Another 16-year-old was also struck by the gunfire and was left in critical condition.
