Michael Williams, a 46-year-old man, lost his life on September 15, 2026, in a violent confrontation that began as a road rage incident in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The altercation escalated in the parking lot of an Arby's restaurant located near Admiral and Sheridan, where Williams was fatally shot. He was accompanied by a 31-year-old female passenger who sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound during the attack. Both victims were transported to a local hospital, but Williams ultimately succumbed to his multiple gunshot wounds. The tragic event unfolded at approximately 4:35 p.m., leaving the local community in shock.

The suspect in the shooting was quickly identified as 20-year-old Dezmin Day. According to reports, the incident was captured on surveillance video, which showed Day's vehicle blocking Williams' in the Arby's parking lot. Williams, who was unarmed, then exited his vehicle and approached Day's car. It was at this moment that Day allegedly opened fire, shooting Williams multiple times and also injuring his passenger. Following the shooting, Day fled the scene.

Thanks to the assistance of witnesses who were able to identify the suspect's SUV, Tulsa police officers located Day driving downtown shortly after the incident. He was taken into custody without incident. During a search of his vehicle, officers discovered a pistol under the driver's seat with its serial number filed off. According to an arrest report, Day confessed to the shooting, stating that it stemmed from the road rage encounter and that he believed Williams was going to strike him. He was subsequently booked into the Tulsa County Jail on charges of second-degree murder and assault with a deadly weapon. While initial reports detail the arrest and charges against Dezmin Day, there is no publicly available information from the online sources regarding a trial, conviction, or any subsequent sentencing in this case. The narrative of this tragic incident, therefore, concludes with the immediate aftermath of the event and the initial steps of the legal process, leaving the final resolution of the case undetermined.
