Murdered

On April 18, 2023, 35-year-old Lundin Hathcock was tragically killed in a shooting at a Tulsa library. Hathcock was sitting at a desk in the library when he was shot by Carlton Gilford, who had no prior connection to him.

The incident was part of a larger attack that day, as Gilford also shot and killed 55-year-old James McDaniel at a nearby QuikTrip convenience store. Both shootings were described as random attacks, with the victims having no known relationship to the perpetrator.
