In the summer heat of Tulsa, Oklahoma, a life was tragically cut short in a violent encounter. Thirty-seven-year-old Fredrick Miles, a male, found himself in a dire situation on a Tuesday afternoon. He had sustained a gunshot wound and, in a desperate attempt to get help, managed to flag down an ambulance in the parking lot of a Warehouse Market grocery store.
Despite the quick response, his injuries proved to be fatal, and he died shortly after.
The investigation into the shooting revealed that the incident did not occur at the grocery store where Miles sought help. Instead, authorities determined that the shooting had taken place about a mile away from that location. Witnesses later explained that Miles had been driven to the Warehouse Market parking lot specifically because an ambulance was present there.
The Tulsa Police Department acted swiftly in their investigation, and not long after the fatal shooting, they apprehended a suspect. Rodney Keevaughn Scott was arrested in connection with the death of Fredrick Miles. He is now facing a charge of first-degree murder, along with several gun-related charges, and is being held at the Tulsa County Jail without bond. The circumstances that led to the shooting have not been publicly disclosed.
