On a Saturday afternoon in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the life of 43-year-old Cristobal Luevano was tragically cut short. Born in Aguascalientes, Mexico, the male victim was in the parking lot of an east Tulsa apartment complex near South Mingo Road and East 11th Street on April 12, 2025. He was with three other men when they were approached by a resident of the complex, 41-year-old Michael Cisneros.
An argument ensued, with Cisneros accusing the group of speaking ill of him.
Following the verbal confrontation, Cisneros left the scene, only to return shortly after armed with two handguns. He then opened fire, shooting Luevano multiple times before fleeing the area. Police were called to the scene at 3:43 p.m. and found Luevano suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Officers began to render aid, but his injuries were too severe. Medical professionals arrived and pronounced Cristobal Luevano dead at the scene at 3:50 p.m. The three other men who were with Luevano were detained by police as witnesses to the fatal shooting.
The search for the suspect did not last long. In the early hours of the following morning, around 3 a.m., officers located Michael Cisneros after he returned to the vicinity of his apartment. He was taken into custody and transported to the Tulsa Police Department Detective Division for questioning. Cisneros was subsequently arrested and charged with first-degree murder and possession of a firearm after a former conviction of a felony.
