In the late evening of May 22, 2023, a house party in North Las Vegas, Nevada, turned into a scene of tragedy. Fourteen-year-old Aiden Naji Hyder, a Black male, was fatally shot. The incident occurred around 9:20 p.m. at the Craig Ranch Villas, located on Casa Norte Drive. Police were called to the apartment complex following reports of gunfire.
Upon their arrival, officers discovered the young teenager on an apartment balcony, suffering from gunshot wounds.
The Clark County coroner's office would later confirm that Aiden Hyder died from gunshot wounds to the head and back. His death was ruled a homicide.
