On August 18, 2022, 15-year-old Walter "Junior" Hidalgo Jr. was fatally shot in North Las Vegas, Nevada. The incident occurred around 5 p.m. in the 3900 block of Coleman Street, near Alexander Road and Simmons Street. Walter was at a friend's house when the shooting took place inside the residence; however, he was found in the driveway upon the arrival of emergency responders. Despite prompt medical attention, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
