In the late afternoon of Sunday, January 21, 2024, a dispute between family members in a North Las Vegas residence tragically escalated, resulting in the death of 77-year-old Earnest Phillips, a Black male. Police were dispatched to the home located in the 3900 block of West Alexander Road around 4:30 p.m. following reports of gunfire.
