On September 14, 2014, Eulalio Freddie Mederos-Vega, a 27-year-old Hispanic male, was found dead in an apartment in Sandy Springs, Georgia. He was discovered alongside Byron Caceres, a 23-year-old male from Norcross, Georgia. Both victims had been shot to death, and their bodies were found around 6:30 p.m. in a unit located on Franklin Road.
