On June 17, 2023, a tragic incident occurred in North Las Vegas, Nevada, resulting in the death of 36-year-old Salamon Castillo. The shooting took place near the intersection of Dillon Avenue and North Bassler Street around 6:35 p.m. Castillo was found with a gunshot wound to the chest and was pronounced dead at the scene.
