In the late hours of April 29, 2024, a quiet residential street in northwest Las Vegas was shattered by violence, leaving a 53-year-old White/Caucasian woman, Anne Terlitzky, dead. The tragic events unfolded at a home on Gladstone Peak Court, where police were dispatched following a report of a shooting at approximately 11:30 p.m. Upon their arrival, they made a grim discovery.
Inside the residence, officers found Anne Terlitzky deceased from what was later confirmed to be a gunshot
wound. They also located 45-year-old Edward Terlitzky, who was critically injured with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was rushed to University Medical Center for treatment, but he ultimately succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
Investigators from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department quickly determined the sequence of events, classifying the incident as a murder-suicide. According to their findings, Edward Terlitzky shot and killed Anne Terlitzky before turning the gun on himself. As the sole suspect in Anne's death is also deceased, no arrests were made in connection with the case. The investigation revealed this to be a tragic instance of domestic violence. While authorities continued their investigation into the specific circumstances leading to the fatal encounter, the case was considered closed with the death of the perpetrator.
